An acknowledgement:

The holidays can be a challenging time for our sobriety. the pressure to 'eat, drink, and be merry' can feel overwhelming. Holidays can bring up feelings of grief, shame, resentment, fear, anxiety, and isolation. If you are having any of these experiences, know that you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you.

We tend to feel extra overwhelmed by the holidays in sobriety when we don't know how to make it through without the drink or substance. We can fear relapse, especially when we don't have strategies in place to prevent it.

this guide is here to provide you with some direction and support so that you can feel more secure in yourself as you navigate this season rather than feeling like you're flailing or white-knuckling it...
